Welcome to Vex Ennui!

What is Vex Ennui? Well, the word vex means to aggitate while the word Ennui is French for boredom. When I was little and had nothing better to do, I would go to my grandmother and complain of my boredom, to which she would happily inform me she had plenty of things I could do for her. Naturally something would come to my mind and I would scamper off in search of anything to get me out of doing chores. One of the most important lessons I learned from my grandma was that I should never let boredom be a part of my vocabulary. Vex Ennui is my battlecry against the mundane, it reminds me that there is always something to do, always something to explore. Whether it is going to classes and doing the homework, or making art for arts sake or even just taking a break to breathe, every experience has value.

Vex Ennui is my place to breathe, to present my work to you. Here you will find samples of my paintings, illustrations, photographs and whatever else I feel like doing to combat boredom.
